The Embassy of Spain in Nairobi informs you that the deadline for the registration of the November DELE exams is on Wednesday 14th October 2015.
The DELE or “Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera” or Diplomas of Spanish as a Foreign Language, is the official accreditation of the degree of fluency and mastery of the Spanish Language, issued and recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport of Spain. The Instituto Cervantes is the institution in charge of organizing the exams, and works in conjunction with other educational institutions in Spain in the preparation, correction and final evaluation of the examinations. In Kenya, the exams take place in Nairobi every May and November and are currently administered through the Embassy of Spain in Nairobi with the valuable assistance of Javier Serrano Aviles, the President of the DELE Tribunal in this region. The exams will be offered on November 20th (open to any candidate) and on the 21st (restricted to UN staff and diplomats). Friday 20th November at the United States International University-Africa (USIU)http://www.usiu.ac.ke along Thika Road. This DELE exam is open to any candidate. Saturday 21st November in the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) http://www.unon.org in Gigiri. This second DELE is as a response to a specific summon opened exclusively to UN employees and accredited diplomats, and it is organized in liaison with the Language Unit of the Staff Development Training Unit of the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON). Upon passing the DELE exams, you get an official title/diploma which has an indefinite validity and is internationally recognized.
